چکیده
Introduction. The most pressing problems in abdominal oncology surgery are the development of obstructive jaundice as a complication patients with malignant tumors hepatobiliary and pancreatoduodenal area, ways to eliminate it reduce risk adverse events. Our earlier research revealed 14 predictors that together more likely cause undesirable postoperative complications, including deaths during minimally invasive biliary tract decompression. On basis data obtained, computer program “Risk Assessment Treatment Methods for Obstructive Jaundice” was created. Materials methods. introduced into clinical practice Yaroslavl Regional Clinical Oncology Hospital tested on 144 from 2019 through 2022. Th e issued conclusion events assigned patient one groups where drainage or stenting were recommended first stage Results discussion. Following collegial decision based results obtained via program, 58 (40.28 %) underwent endoscopic 86 (59.72 percutaneous transhepatic drainage. In study group, developed 10 (6.94 %), while control group — 50 (22.94 134 (93.06 had no compared 168 (77.06 group. Conclusion. Application reliable practically significant decline general complications induced by decompression 22.94 % 6.94 3.5-fold decrease mortality 5.05 1.39 neoplasms complicated mixed jaundice.

Biliary decompression promotes Kupffer cell recovery in obstructive jaundice.
BACKGROUND Jaundiced patients undergoing surgical procedures have an increased risk of Gram negative sepsis with potential morbidity and mortality. Depressed Kupffer cell clearance capacity (KCCC) predisposes jaundiced patients to endotoxaemia and its sequelae. Biliary decompression remains the main therapeutic strategy in obstructive jaundice. AIMS This study investigates the efficacy of int...
متن کاملStenting and interventional radiology for obstructive jaundice in patients with unresectable biliary tract carcinomas
Together with biliary drainage, which is an appropriate procedure for unresectable biliary cancer, biliary stent placement is used to improve symptoms associated with jaundice. Owing to investigations comparing percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD), surgical drainage, and endoscopic drainage, many types of stents are now available that can be placed endoscopically. The stents used a...
متن کاملClinical outcomes and prediction of survival following percutaneous biliary drainage for malignant obstructive jaundice
The present study aimed to investigate the clinical outcomes of percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage in patients with obstructive jaundice and identify potential predictors of patient survival. Clinical data from 102 patients (66 males and 36 females; median age, 63.50 years; range, 29-84 years) with a mean (± standard deviation) pre-drainage serum bilirubin level of 285.4 (±136.7 μmol/l)...
متن کاملObstructive jaundice caused by pancreatic head malignancies are there predictive factors for successful endoscopic biliary stenting?
Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography provides precise imaging of malignant biliopancreatic strictures and allows palliative treatment with endoscopic stenting. Initial successful biliary stenting can be achieved in about 69-100% of patients with pancreatic head malignancies. Preliminary data from our Clinic reported a much lower success rate of endoscopic biliary stenting in obstructi...
